We're confident Greg will bring a positive culture to the city of Gilroy, both for community members and businesses alike.  We fully support Greg Bozzo and his vision for our city.

The city of Gilroy would benefit greatly from Greg's business experience and passion for the community.

It's time we elect a mayor who approaches the city's issues similarly.

I’m Greg Bozzo.

I am excited to announce my candidacy for Gilroy’s mayor in November 2024.

A Gilroy resident since childhood, I am proud to have lived and prospered in our great city.

I have lived in downtown Gilroy much of my life and attended all three Gilroy Unified Schools: Glenview Elementary, South Valley Junior High and Gilroy High School.

After junior college, I studied, and graduated from, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the School of Agriculture.

After spending a year abroad upon earning my degree, I lived and worked in Gilroy’s sister city, Takko-machi, in Japan. After that successful program, I returned to Gilroy to build my landscape construction firm, GB Landscape Services, Inc., which is still in operation today.

My wife, Lora, and I are parents to two beautiful adult daughters, who also attended Gilroy Unified School District schools. We are also currently foster parents to a 4-year-old boy.

From an early age, my brother Dave and I were influenced by our parents, as community service was always part of their lives. Our dad, Sam, was first elected to the Gavilan Board of Trustees in 1972 and our mom, Judy, was a charter member of the Gilroy Foundation in 1979. Dave, has been a life-long volunteer for the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association and long time leader at Sportsman Chef.

In addition to creating a prosperous Gilroy business, I have devoted the last thirty years committed to making Gilroy better through community service. I am now prepared to lead the city as your next mayor.  My contributions to the City of Gilroy include the City Council appointed Housing Neighborhood Revitalization Committee, and president of both the Brownell Middle School Parent Club and the Gilroy Sister City Association.

I’m most proud of my 30-year involvement with the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association, serving as President in 2010.

My current passion and philanthropy includes sourcing no-cost trees for many local non-profit organizations including the City of Gilroy, Gilroy Gardens, Gilroy Police Mounted Enforcement Unit, and the Gilroy Rodeo. Last year I helped create a community garden that had participation from thirty local, mostly underserved families. I also sit on the advisory board of locally run, Pinnacle Bank.

My three decades of community service has allowed me to form strong personal relationships within our community and fostered positive work experiences for my employees.

I have a great sense of duty, obligation, and desire to now apply my noteworthy personal and business experience to the City of Gilroy to reach its potential.
